The Returned and Services League of Australia (RSL) formed in 1916 out of concern for the welfare of servicemen returning from World War 1. Today the RSL works to ensure the care, compensation and commemoration of current and past Australian Defence Force members and their dependents, as well as advocating for Government and community awareness.
Founded in 1916 with the purpose of providing support and comfort for service men and women and their families, the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association (RNZRSA) has grown to become an organisation that supports and fosters happy, healthy communities around the country.
